The Automation system of FUEL Sugar Refinery is based on Allen Bradley Contrologix PLC with three Operator Stations running Factory Talk and one Engineering Station. For long distances, fiber optic has been used to connect the remote IOs to the main controller. All motors starters (DOL, VSD etc.) are interfaced to the PLC via DeviceNet. PanelView operator interface also form part of the system.

The Automation system of Omnicane Refinery has been designed using two AC800F controllers with five Digivis Operator Stations. All IOs are of remote type and connected to the controllers via profibus. Exchange between the Sugar Refinery and the Sugar Factory is via Ethernet on fiber optic. Variable speed drives are connected to the controllers via profibus.
